September fashion month Recap-my first trip to New York Fashion Week 2015 as fashion illustrator and three live sketch events!
September 2015 was a super busy month for me and my fashion illustration business. I went to New York Fashion Week for the first time as a fashion illustrator. Not only to attend the shows and talk to designers and make-up artists but also to live sketch the models and influencers backstage. Overall it was a great trip with a lot of fresh, fun experiences and valuable networking opportunities. This trip alone was enough for a jam packed September but I also did three live sketch events in Houston at The Galleria mall, Elaine Turner and Tootsies!
My first event in September was at The Galleria mall where I live sketched guests at a fashion VIP after party hosted by Simon group and Vogue Promos. My lovely friends came along with me to provide support and the super talented Daniel came to video me. See pictures of this amazing event below!
To be able to go to NYFW was my long time goal and I am extremely excited this opportunity finally came! I practiced for hours and hours everyday to make sure I was able to capture the moments fast and accurately. With a lot of excitements and nerves, I boarded a super early flight to New York!
I was lucky enough to attend Rachel Zoe's fashion show, It was amazing to be able to meet her and sketch her beautiful collection. She even regrammed my work!!

The day I came back, I immediately got ready for my second live sketch event of the month for Elaine Turner at her City Centre store to celebrate 15 years in business!!( How amazing, she is such an inspiration to me!)
The next day, I was at my third live sketch event of the month at Tootsies in honor of National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
