Fashion Illustration Inspired by Golden Globes 2016

I just finished a fashion illustration inspired by my favorite Golden Globes red carpet look from Jenna Tatum. She wore a beautiful navy Zuhair Murad gown. I absolutley fall in love with the design. the dress brought me to deep dark universe. I use gouache and a little bit glitter to complete this piece.

Fashion Illustration of Rachel Zoe’s Pre Fall 2016 Collection

I drew fashion sketches everyday but I did not post on my blog very often. This year I will try to post my fashion Illustrations on this blog more often and share with more fashion and art lovers.

Rachel Zoe always is one of my idol, she is super talented and hard working business women that I admire from the day one I found her.

Here is a fashion illustration of three outfits I love the most from her Pre Fall 2016 collection. I use Copic Markers to drew them.

It was a busy September. I went to New York Fashion Week as a fashion illustrator for the first time. Even though it was only four days I was amazed by the whole experience. Read my recap here.

Lastly, It was a dream come true when I heard from ELLE.com that they wanted to hire me to create 5 illustrations for Banana Republic for their holiday campaign. ELLE magazine was my favorite fashion magazine growing up. I used to draw from it all the time and dream one day I could create fashion illustrations for them.  When I saw the article on their site, I felt my teenage self jumping and dancing inside me!

I wrote a blog post with some thoughts and recommendations to anyone who also wants to draw or is at the beginning stage of drawing, especially fashion.
